The last #tbt

From running in the middle of the street chasing my wind blown hats in Harlem, block parties in Bedstuy, photo shoots with the best social team in NYC {#scoutpod}, nyfw at Skylight, my wedding in Indianapolis and now settling down in Chicago I'd say this year I've been pretty blessed... However this year has been the most emotional... I never thought I'd be protesting for #blacklives in Times Square, hearing about mass shootings both inland and overseas and now seeing Trump in the Oval Office and even worst Pence... But through it all God is so good. I thank him every day for his constant love and protection not for just me but for the many people I love and cherish in my life. 

Now I don't believe in New Year resolutions... Resolutions are goals that should be set daily and and monthly and ammended according to progress and growth. But in 2017 I want to read more. I want to read everything. Some reads I'm going to pick up are "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness", "#GIRLBOSS", "Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur", "Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls." 

I also want to travel more!!! My husband and I love to travel and this year we want to step out of our box and explore over seas! 

I'm excited about 2017. This is the year of manifestation. May God bless you and yours as we enter this new year of many great things to come.
