All Black Girl Everything

In celebration of #tbt I wanna throw it back to my days in NYC... I miss it so much! The people, the food, my friends, the rush... Honestly truly... There's nothing like New York City. I lived in Manhattan my first 9 months of the year then moved to Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Seriously the best move ever. It was more calm more peaceful because when I come home I like to come home to sleep in peace and wake up in peace lol. You don't get that living in Manhattan. The trains the honking cars people screaming about the world coming to an end... It's too much sauce lol. But being there and experiencing the city is something I wouldn't trade for the world. In Brooklyn you feel a connection. It feels like you're part of this big family you never knew existed. Everyone looks out for each other, you're invited to the family bar-b-que and can enjoy a good old block party. Spike Lee may join in but we'll see lol. 

I say all of this to say this, experience and try life. I was scared to go to New York by myself. No friends, a new way of living, it terrified me. But after leaving this year long experience I came back know who I was, what I wanted to achieve in life and even better a network of friends that I still talk to this day! Experience life, try new things and never let anything hold you back. And I mean anything... You never know what that experience will bring you. ✨
