Okay y'all so if you're from the Midwest you know how bipolar this weather can be! Even before global warming the Midwest always has its own agenda lol...
A few days ago it's been in the upper 70's mid 60's, sunny and perfect! Like Spring is really here! Now today lol... it's a new season! But we still breathin'! Shout out to Drake! 😂😂 okay I'm done lol... but no really!!! The high today, 40 degrees, cloudy and rainy... 😩 I went to an awesome networking event today called Brand Chicago (tap the link to see what they're about!), and had the outfit laid for a 70 degree day hunnie... but Chicago had other plans. I had to change it up.

Here are 3 tips that I took into consideration when picking a whole new look...
* Add a layering piece that makes sense and that will enhance your look.
This look by itself is an all black jumpsuit from H&M with an open back and ruffles on the straps. I decided to add a white collared button down underneath the jumpsuit and to roll the sleeves for styling purposes. You can throw almost any shirt under a jumpsuit to create a different look. Another option could have been a duster or kimono but it was important to me to showcase the detailing on the back of the jumpsuit.
* Stick to your aesthetic
I love black or a combination thereof, pants, jumpsuits, anything minimalistic and overall an androgynous look. To really style the look I added my booties and my go to accessory, my fedora. Kept my jewelry minimal with small and dainty silver pieces. So whenever your accommodating for the Midwest or any situation stick to what you love!
* Own the look! Confidence is key
So even though your new look may not be what you originally had planned you've got to be confident in whatever you're wearing. Confidence polishes the whole ensemble together and just makes you feel so great. So own it, flaunt it and love it queens.
