Hey queens! Believe it or not summer is literally coming to an end... it's like that that last sip of you're latte that you just wanna hang on to because it's so good! Summers are even "more special" for Chicagoans... the word is "enjoy the summer while you can, you only get 2 months. Lol!" But all great things must come to an end. Luckily for seasons we do come back to them at some point.

This blog post is super special to me. I was given the opportunity to represent a brand that is on the rise to dominate the Chicagoland area, Designer Share (tap here to follow their Instagram). Designer Share is the first peer to peer space for women to rent one of a kind designer clothing and accessories to each other. So you get to carry a Chanel bag for a day, week or two...??? YES!!!! And it's all from your peers! Cool right? And the best part is that it's so cost friendly. What I love about Designer Share is that they are a brand who is passionate about making women feel special and beautiful even if it is for a day or two. Every woman has the right to turn heads when they enter a room and Designer Share along with myself are here for it.

The piece I decided to style for Designer Share was this lilac knife pleat dress from Alice and Olivia. This dress is super special to the owner because she got it at the Alice and Olivia boutique in San Francisco. I went to the Designer Share website and immediately knew this was the dress I wanted to style for the day! The color, the pleats, the length... all me, all day lol. But my look wasn't complete without... you guessed it! Black.

Lilac was a huge color trend this summer. We saw it on the red carpet, in street style, on runways as monochromatic looks. I was *still am* in love with this trend! But all summer I literally couldn't find anything in lilac that was right for me so I gave up on it. Thank God for Designer Share! They had the right dress, at the right time before summer left!

I styled this lilac cutie with fish net socks, Steve Madden chunky heels, my skinny belt, hat and my faux leather jacket. I thought this would be the perfect combo for my contrast styling that I love so much. I paid attention to my details, the pleats, the color, lilac and balanced the look with a toned down neutral color. For me it's always black lol.

So if you haven't gotten your lilac in for the summer there's still time! Squeeze it in while you still can! Even if you get your lilac in during A/W I won't be mad lol. I may join you actually because after black purple is my second favorite color.

As a special treat for you I have a code for you to get 10% of any of the "shareables" on DesignerShare.com! Please keep in mind you have to be in the Chicagoland area however they are open to requests! Use code: KANDIS10 to save some money queens! Enjoy and get out enjoy these last days of Summer!! 💜
