Hello everyone! My apologies for not sharing a blog post in about a month! I was having an inspiration road block and honestly was very tired from the Thanksgiving/Black Friday holiday rush lol... Ya girl needed to regroup! Mentally, emotionally and yes physically lol. I pray that you had an amazing Thanksgiving with friends, family and loved ones! Mine was pretty great! We celebrated with my husbands side of the family and had an amazing time. It felt like a party! And honestly it feels like that every time we all get together.

After rest and recuperation I was inspired to create a holiday sleigh look book for you queens! Every year finding the right outfit to spend time at church, brunch or with friends and family during the day can be stressful. You don't want to over or under dress, you want to be holiday and festive however still bring your style aesthetic to the scene. I decided to create a look book that can take you from brunch to happy hour. Not only did I style some bomb looks for this shoot I was honored and so excited to collaborate with a make up artist here in the city of Chicago! About two weeks ago, Ms Robyn, aka @poisedprofessional reached out to me about a possible collab! She is a phenomenal make up artist who is intentional and really knows her skin types. Shes an Esthetician too! Be sure to follow her on IG and if you live in Chicago book her for your next event!

I had so much fun during the shot and putting this whole look together. As you may or may not know, my style aesthetic is a hat and for the most part black lol. Well the holidays are about fun and sparkles! I paired a gold shimmer pleated A-line skirt with a silver sheer shimmer shirt. What I loved even more was that this look was about mixing silver and gold creating a solar starry night color palette. Of course I'm all about my leather jacket but honey... this is Chitown and it is freezing!!!! As an additional layering piece I wore my textured cocoon coat. Queens we're going for fashion and function. I'm all for being cute but I will not freeze for it. LOL!

The accessories were very exciting. To keep the look festive I wore a diamond choker and to keep things on the casual side I wore my double buckle belt and my sock booties. Of course I had a small clutch... you never know where brunch or an evening after church can take you!

I hope you're inspired by this holiday daytime look! Be on the look out for the next post as I will be talking about my holiday nighttime look! And baby this dress is so perfect! For a sneak peek I did create a cute little video via iMovie and it is posted on my YouTube channel here!
