All You Need Is LOVE, And Cupcakes.

Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope March has been treating you well! Oh and Happy Spring! Some of you may be feeling the Spring weather but last week when it was still Winter in Chicago it felt like Spring but now that we are officially in Spring it feels as though we have taken a few steps back into Winter lol... 30-40 degree days and get this... snow is on the radar!!!! I'm not here for it and I really need this warm weather to break lol... However I am grateful that the days are finally getting longer! Instead of it being dark at 4om its really nice that it's dark around 7pm. There is really nothing like long warm Summer days and it doesn't get dark until 10pm. Those are the best and it just takes me back to my childhood. Playing on the porch with my cousins, making late Dairy Queen stops for sundaes and splitting it, drive in movies... Does anyone still do that anymore??? Asking for a friend lol. The warm weather isn't here right at this moment but it will be! With that being said we gotta be ready for what's going to take off in fashion this Spring Summer.

A few weeks ago I got to shoot with my girl Roxx!!! I showed her the look and we picked the location of Sprinkles Cupcakes in downtown Chicago. Now this post may be "fake news" because I really did not have a cupcake haha. I'm working on my diet and no sweets are a part of the diet so I controlled my taste buds lol. I didn't event shoot with one to avoid temptation. But the pink and the colors went very well with the outfit I had on! So this Spring Summer it is all about the 'It" pant. The "It" pant is a pair of pants that make you stand out from the rest. They are usually tapered, a jogger style or flared palazzo pant. The pants may be a bold solid color or they could be whimsical with a fun print on them like mine.

The styling for this look was quite simple as I just selected one color from the pant to pair with the pants. The color I selected from the pant was cream. I had gotten this amazing high neck lace ruffle top from H&M for $10 and the shoes to go with were $20 from Topshop. The pant you can get these exact ones from Topshop or Nordstroms but you can really find anything similar from any fast fashion retailer such as Forever 21, H&M, ASOS, Zara and Boohoo just to name a few in-store and online retailers.

Oh and just to add to some more detailing I love the earrings I decided to pair with this look! They are also from H&M. I figured since I am doing a simple black and white color palette why not add a small hint of color to this look. I pulled out the green that is also in the pant. I also do not own any earring like this so the earrings were a must have so I could have something different in my closet. These earrings are also a great piece to pull back out for festival season! So when you are shopping for something new take that into consideration. How can this item or piece be versatile where you can use it more than once for different events.

Well royal fam this is one of my Spring Summer looks that I'm really excited to dive into when this weather gets right! Another exciting street style trend are belt bags, another fancy word for fanny paks lol. So glad they are coming back! Next moth I will show you the belt bag and how to style it 3 ways. Stay tuned!

By the way this picture down below seriously cracks me up lol... no idea what I was thinking when I took this picture, maybe "Kandis what are you doing freezing your tail off in this weather? Get some clothes on!" But the only thing I can think of when I see this picture is when you ask mama for a cupcake from Sprinkles and she responds with this face and says, you got some cupcake money??? Hahahahahaha! When you were a kid that was the original #ClapBack lol.

Well cheers and continue to love each other in these streets! I know it's hard with so many hateful things around us happening everyday but love will save the day, even if sometimes you have to throw in a little cupcake or two. Until next time!
