Hello royal fam!!! Man April flew by didn't it lol... You may or may not have been following along but on Facebook and Instagram I started and finished a month long Mental Cleanse Challenge. Well it was more of an every other day cleanse because she ain't got content for every day like that sis!! Lol! The inspiration you may ask?? Spring. During this new season we make the time to clean our homes, our cars, our office spaces... but do we make the time to do a Spring mental cleanse to focus on self care and mental health? Just as Spring is a time of renewal and refreshness, we all should take the time to refresh, reset and renew on mental care. Well that was the goal of this challenge. It has officially been completed and I can surly say I feel more open, refreshed and focused. #ThanksPinterest

Now how this works is there are 4 different components to the challenge...
Self Care
Diet & Exercise
Digital Cleanse
Positivity
With there being 4 weeks in the month of April each week represented a new component of mental health and wellness. I posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday what the new challenge was for that day. It was really fun and exciting to have you all participate! Check out some of the participation comments below!

Really fun stuff that made me put my priorities in perspective. If you aren't mentally secure what do you have? Before we can take care of others we must take care of ourselves first. Here are some highlights from April's Spring Mental Cleanse Challenge.
SELF CARE

In this moment I really wanted to capture color and close up shots that indicated vulnerability and self. The styling for this moment was very simple and and inspired by light washes of denim, white and neutral tones. This look also symbolized Spring and renewness which at the time mind you I shot this in 30 degree weather with the fierce lake winds in my back lol. But we made it work! Can you tell I'm literally freezing!!? Lol! *Spring was cancelled this season lol*
DIET & EXERCISE

Now this was my second to favorite component of the challenge! I've always had a thing for fitness and I tried to push myself to try workouts I've never done before, to breathe no mater what and to make my meals meatless. I already have cut red meat completely out of my diet but the challenge was to throw out all meat on 2 of your 3 meals so that includes not eating chicken. In the first picture you will see some weights and my phone. When I work out I love to workout outdoors. One of my favorite apps to use is MapMyRun. It monitors your path as you run, tracks calories burned, your average pace and if you perform additional exercises it allows you to insert that into the app as well. To give it a try download it here!
DIGITAL CLEANSE

This component of the cleanse focused on everything digital. From our laptops to phones we made sure we were organized and honestly spent some time away from our phones to be present in the moment. This was really great for me because to be be honest I can be so distracted by my phone that I forget to live in the moment! But this month was a turn of a new leaf. The outfit is from Boohoo, and I was inspired by getting up early morning, slipping on something super easy yet fashionable to head to a coffee shop to get work done.
POSITIVITY

This was my favorite week of them all! I consider myself a very positive person and I love to have positive energy around me at all times. This week made me count my blessings even the ones in disguise. And to just have an open thankful heart. This look was very southern belle inspired. Bright, feminine, cheerful and just a happy go luck situation. This whole look can be purchased from Topshop which is linked to LikeToKNOWIt.

If you didn't get to join me this time I hope you give it a try! It really is a moment for you to stop and just focus on you from all angles of life. Give it a go!
This is all for April! Now on to what I really love and what excites me... FASHION! There's so much happening in the industry right now and I'm honestly very eager to share!
Until next time!
