Hello everyone!!! Well you all voted via my stories and here’s my blog post from my weekend getaway to Las Vegas!!
Well just so you know Vegas has never been on my list for places to visit... I know people who have lived there and I always hear terrible haunted ghost stories!! So that always turned me away and I’m not a huge gambler or night life person so me visit Vegas?? Nah sis. Lol. It wasn’t until June, and Jadien said, “I want to go to Vegas for my 30th birthday”. I said, “you sure”??? Lbvs... he said, “yep”. I think maybe 5 minutes later he booked the Airbnb lol.
We finally got to Vegas and wow... it was so beautiful!!! And hot... I was so excited I woke jadien up and said “Babe wake up! It’s so hot here the water’s sizzlin’!? LOOK!” Knowing it was just the suns reflection and lights bouncing off lol... ⠀⠀ Him: 🤦🏾♂️😂
We landed and quickly hopped in a $25 taxi ride to the Bellagio, one of the hotels and casinos in Vegas. *Note* you could Uber from the airport but you’ll have to walk and work for it lol... Uber pretty much takes over all of the strip so to accommodate the taxi transportation business the taxis hold it down at the airport. We were starving so we did the buffet at the Bellagio and also went to the garden that’s there! Every display is made of beautiful flowers. Definitely something you should check out if you visit.
We checked in and our condo was stunning... it was a 5 person renovated condo all to ourselves!!! I knew in that moment I could see myself living in Vegas!! And the weather was perfect... dry heat and not the nasty humidity us easterners and midwesterners have to deal with lol. Because I don’t spend much time on the west coast I’m used to the humidity and I hate it but being in Vegas really made me love and appreciate the heat. The condo was perfect, the pool perfect, everything was perfect... and a 10 minute Uber ride to the strip. Ya girl was peachy. 🍑
We took a quick nap then went in! We walked the strip, went to old Vegas which was okay... just not luxurious enough lol. Oh and we gambled! We figured why not we’re in Vegas. We also had favor... I gambled and won $300!!!!! 😆 After that we rode the New York New York roller coaster. As we were walking in someone gave us 50 cents to check our items into a locker, then right after that someone gave us a ticket to get on the roller coaster!!! 🤯 The roller coaster was okay... it just hurt lol... a lot of head banging and not that many drops. But this favor... we were like yassss VEGAS!!!!! #winning for sure.
I couldn’t hang so we went back to the condo to rest. Saturday morning we got up and found an amazing deal for $100 buffet, unlimited mimosas, for 2 people and eat all day until 10pm. We then spent the day shopping and... got more liquor!!! It wasn’t Vegas until we really turned up lol... we checked out most of the hotels and casinos and my favorite was the Cosmopolitan. It was cute, sparkly and girly. Jadien’s favorite was the Luxor. This one had an Egyptian theme.
We wanted to go to a pool party at a day club at Mandalay Bay but we got there around 3:30ish and the cut off to swim free was 3pm... other than that it was $34 for women and $54 for men... not the ideal situation to swim so we passed and walked around a bit more.
Sunday was our last day so we did all the extreme rides at Stratosphere hotel and casino. They had a deal that was kind of expensive but for 2 people you could ride all 3 rides for $88 so not too bad for 3 rides and 2 people.
KandyreignEats... Sooooo since the beginning of the year I have not been eating red meat. The last time I had an @innout burger was in 2004 after I had just got done performing in the Rose Bowl parade in LA with my dance team... it was THE BEST burger of my life!!! *still is lol*
I wanted to go to In N Out Burger just to relive and savor that taste and I was gonna cheat but hubby straight up told me “No”. We found some place even better where I could eat tasty food and stay on track for no red meat. We found Virgil’s Real BBQ. The best BBQ of my life! *So far* I didn’t get too many pics because my face was seriously in my plate most of the time lol. They slow cook their meats and the BBQ is seasoned into the meat and it’s so good... literally fall of the bone good. We also ordered the Po’Boy, Onion Rings and Fries lol... we were fat haha. It was our first meal of the day however our last meal in Vegas so we went in. The drinks were everything. We got lemonade vodkas with blueberries and raspberries. Also keep in mind everything is hand made and all natural.

Overall I had a great experience in Vegas and want to go back asap. We didn’t experience the night life because we’re old lol... BUT that’s why I HAVE to go back. I had to also remember this wasn’t my weekend lol... it was Jadien’s birthday weekend so all this things he wanted to do including playing in the arcade all night I made sure he got to do them lol.
